Liu Yan, deputy Party secretary of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, met Brichikov Ivan, dean of the Orchestra Department of Belarusian State Academy of Music, who performed at the 34th Shanghai Spring International Music Festival on May 13, 2017.

On behalf of SHCM, Liu welcomed her guest and spoke highly of the Exchange Concert between SHCM and BSAM. Ivan hoped to further the cooperation between the two schools. They also exchanged gifts.

Prior to the meeting, BASM’s students and professors performed piano solos of Belorussian Dulcimer and string ensemble.

BASM was established in 1932 and has become one of the authoritative conservatories of music education, performance arts, and composition.

Chen Xiaoyi, director of International Exchange Office of SCHM, also attended the meeting.
