Lin Zaiyong, president of Shanghai Conservatory of Music met Wolfgang Zill, vice president of Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, on April 5, 2017.
Lin and Zill had talks on future cooperation in academics, composition, piano, music education, and mutual educational visiting programs for students and professors between the two conservatories.
Lin said SHCM’s former president Yang Liqing once studied at HUMDM, and the two schools are now on friendly terms. Lin also invited Zill and musicians from HUMDM to hold professional seminars and courses and establish long-term partnership.
Zill agreed with Lin’s proposal and welcomes students of SHCM to have scholarly visits to HUMDM and also have academic seminars.
Zhang Wei, dean of graduate students of SHCM, and Chen Xiaoyi, director of International Exchange Office of SHCM, also attended the meeting.
HUMDM was established in 1897 and is one of the most renowned arts universities in Germany. It holds 500 some concerts and performances every year.
