SHCM students entertain China-UK dialogue participants


An SHCM ensemble performs for guests attending the 4th Meeting of the China-UK High-Level People-to-People Dialogue in Shanghai in December 2016.


Nine students and teachers from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music performed at a banquet hosted by Vice Premier Liu Yandong for guests attending the 4th Meeting of the China-UK High-Level People-to-People Dialogue in Shanghai on December 6, 2016.

Dialogue participants discussed a wide range of topics from education to science and technology, heath care, sports, tourism, cultural and creative industries, social equality and women’s rights.

The SHCM ensemble presented two Chinese melodies and “Auld Lang Syne” as the closing piece. Their performance won big applause from the audience.

China-UK High-Level People-to-People Dialogue is a ministerial meeting between the two countries. There are also China-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue and China-UK Strategic Dialogue.
