SHCM students perform traditional Chinese music at the National Taiwan University of Arts.
The SHCM Vice President Zhang Xianping led a delegation to visit the National Taiwan University of Arts and the Taipei National University of the Arts in October 2015.
In his meeting with the TNUA President Yang Chi-Wen, Zhang spoke highly of the university’s overall strength in art education and creativity. He expressed hope for more academic exchanges between the two schools.
Zhang also met two SHCM students studying at the TNUA on an exchange program and encouraged them to broaden their vision and enhance their capabilities.
The SHCM delegation also had a meeting with Chen Chih-Cheng, president of the National Taiwan University of Arts and discussed cooperation in teaching traditional Chinese music. They told each other about their school’s history and development. Zhang said the SHCM wants to strengthen cooperation with the NTUA.
During their visit, Chinese music students in the delegation gave a concert at the National Taiwan University of Arts to an audience of about 200 faculties and students.
Three SHCM officials were invited to attend the 60th anniversary of the National Taiwan University of Arts after other members of the delegation returned to Shanghai.
