Shanghai Conservatory of Music President Lin Zaiyong met Joanne Cole, a celebrated cellist and head of strings with the Royal Academy of Music, on October 15, 2015.

Li Jiwu, professor and director of the Orchestral Music Department of the SHCM, and Feng Lei, office director of the conservatory, joined the meeting.

Lin awarded Cole a guest professor certificate for her contribution to world music, music education and training Chinese cellists at the conservatory. He hoped the British artist can give more lectures in Shanghai.

Cole has been the head of strings at the London conservatory since 2010. She is a successful musician and an outstanding educator with rich experiences.
