The Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music jointly held a weeklong chamber music festival in March 2015. Thirteen American teachers and students performed at the festival.

A US professor of piano gave a master class for Chinese students on March 25.

Faculties and students of both conservatories, including a 13-year-old Chinese pianist, presented two splendid concerts on March 27 and 28, featuring traditional classic chamber pieces and two new works.

Since they established cooperative relationship in 2010, the two conservatories have been holding a joint chamber music festival every year in each other’s city by turn.
