Chinese, Danish artists collaborate in chamber music concerts


The Shanghai Conservatory of Music (SHCM) and the Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) held a chamber music festival in Shanghai from November 2 to 8, 2014.

The RDAM vice president and viola professor Tim Frederiksen, violin professor Serguei Azizian, composition professor Niels Rosing-Schow, four young artists and two international office workers came for the festival.

Frederiksen and Azizian gave master classes and lectures to Chinese students at the conservatory and its affiliated middle school. Professor Rosing-Schow also gave three lectures on composition.

Artists from both schools performed three chamber concerts on November 3, 6 and 7 in the conservatory’s North Building Auditorium and He Luting Concert Hall,

Since the SHCM and the RDAM established relationship in 2008, many academic exchange and cooperation activities have been held.
