A Shanghai Conservatory of Music delegation led by Vice President Xu Mengdong visited the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Hamburg University of Music and Theater and the University of Music Lübeck in Germany in June 2013.

The five-member delegation talked with composition professors of these music schools and discussed the possibility of academic cooperation in the future. They also shared teaching experiences with each other.

Xu invited professors of the Royal Academy of Music and the Hamburg University of Music and Theater to give short-term composition classes at the SHCM.

The delegation included SHCM Graduate School Director Jia Daqun, Deputy Director Zhang Wei, Composition Department Associate Dean Wen Deqing and Chen Xiaoyi of the International Exchange Department.
