Yang Yandi, vice president of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, met Neal Stulberg, chair of the UCLA Music Department, and his wife on September 9, 2016. They discussed exchanges and cooperation between the two schools and learned about each other’s traditions and programs.
Yang said they should carry out academic exchanges and cooperation in musicology, music performance, composition and other areas by establishing a procedural framework.
Stulberg introduced the faculties of his department and their cooperation with social and cultural organizations in Los Angles.
Stulberg said his department hopes to have long-term cooperation and regular exchanges with the SHCM with good planning and negotiations.
