The SHCM officials meet visitors from the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
Shanghai Conservatory of Music President Lin Zaiyong met Bertel Krarup, president of the Royal Danish Academy of Music on August 24, 2016.
Marianne Lokke Jakobsen, director of international affairs and Music Confucius Institute, and Carsten Ruby, director of finance and administration, were among guests from the academy.
Lin said the two schools have enjoyed friendly cooperation and exchanges for a long time. The two sides should expand cooperation in more areas.
Krarup thanked Lin for his warm reception and said the two conservatories have cooperated successfully in music performance, particularly chamber music.
He noted that the SHCM will mark its 90th anniversary in 2017 while his academy will celebrate its 150th anniversary. The two schools should use the occasion to strengthen cooperation in piano music, vocal music and music engineering.
The conservatory’s office director Feng Lei and director of international exchange Chen Xiaoyi joined the meeting.
The Danish guests also met the cast of “Tang Xianzu”, an opera produced by the SHCM and based on a life of the renowned Chinese playwright who lived more than 400 years ago.
