Conservatory forge ties with 3 European schools

A Shanghai Conservatory of Music delegation led by Vice President Zhang Xianping visited Belarus, Austria and Lithuania in April 2015.

They signed an agreement with the Belarusian State Academy of Music for exchange and cooperation. The state-run academy, founded in 1920, also held a concert on April 24 to celebrate the cooperation between the two conservatories.

The delegation then visited the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, one of the top music and arts schools in the world with a history of about 200 years. The SHCM officials and their host introduced their courses and programs and pledged increased exchanges.

During their visit to Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania, officials of both schools expressed desire for more exchanges and cooperation in music education.
