Kunitachi College of Music and SHCM form ties

The Kunitachi College of Music President Susumu Shouno and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Party Secretary Lin Zaiyong signed a cooperation agreement between the two schools during their meeting in Shanghai on March 12, 2015.

Lin welcomed the Japanese guests and said both schools have a long history and special traditions characteristic of Chinese and Japanese culture. The signing of the agreement will promote student and faculty exchanges and cooperation in joint education programs.

Shouno said the two schools face the same challenges and opportunities and should have close ties and cooperate with other music schools in the Asia region. He invited SHCM officials to visit his college in the second half of 2016.

The Kunitachi College of Music was a private school founded in 1926 in Tachikawa, Tokyo. It is considered one of the best music conservatories in Japan.
