SHCM attends meeting of Association Européenne des Conservatoires

A delegation led by Zhang Xianping, vice president of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, attended the annual meeting of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires in Budapest, Hungary, from November 12 to 18, 2014.

It’s the first time for the SHMC to participate in the annual meeting. Deborah Kelleher, vice president of Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, the host of the meeting, received the Shanghai guests.

During the meeting, Zhang exchanged ideas and experiences with participants from Europe, North America and Australia.

The delegation also visited the Conservatory of the Music Society in Kraków, Poland, and had a meeting with Stanisław Krawczynski, president of the CMSK. They signed an agreement for academic exchanges.

The Association Européenne des Conservatoires is a European music education network with around 300 member institutions in 57 countries.
