Seattle Symphony CEO visits Shanghai conservatory

Zhang Xianping and Simon Woods discuss cooperation between the SHCM and the Seattle Symphony.


Zhang Xianping, vice president of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, received the visiting president and CEO of Seattle Symphony, Simon Woods, on October 15, 2014.

Woods told Zhang about the symphony’s plan for an Asian tour in 2016 and expressed the wish to interact with SHCM students and faculties during their Shanghai visit.

Zhang briefed the visitor on the conservatory’s international exchange programs over the years. Both agreed to foster cooperation in the future.

Founded in 1903, Seattle Symphony is the largest and oldest art institution in the State of Washington, USA.
