Artists of San Francisco Symphony interact with SHCM students

An 11-member delegation from San Francisco Symphony visited the Shanghai Conservatory of Music on November 13, 2012 and gave master classes to Chinese students of different majors.

The American visitors included principal viola, cello, bass, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, harp, timpani players Jonathan Vinocour, Amos Yang, Scott Pingel, William Bennett, Jerome Simas, Stephen Paulson, Robert Ward, Mark Inouye, Timothy Higgins, Doug Rioth and David Herbert, respectively.

SFS conductor Michael Thomas also conducted the SHCM symphony orchestra at the He Luting Concert Hall. SFS general manager John Kieser and artistic director John Mangum talked to the SHCM faculties and students at a seminar.
