Visitors from Iceland seek ties with conservatory

\Mist Thorkelsdottir, dean of music at Iceland Academy of the Arts, and Icelandic flute players Martial Nardeau and Birgisdóttir, visited the Shanghai Conservatory of Music on October 12, 2012.
The group was received by Zhang Xianping, SHCM vice president; Li Jian, dean of the Piano Department; and Liu Zhaolu, associate dean of the Orchestral Music Department. They discussed cooperation between the two music schools.
Martial Nardeau and Birgisdóttir Nardeau, who are a couple, also gave a master class in flute music to Chinese students at the conservatory.
