SHCM plans to sign a cooperation memorandum with Slovak academy of performing arts

Shanghai Conservatory of Music Deputy Party Secretary Liu Yan met Katarina Haskova, vice dean for foreign relations and research of the music and dance school of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava of Slovakia and her colleague Dr. Milan Kolena, a composing and conducting teacher on November 29.

Liu said that communication between the two sides will help promote cultural exchanges between China and Slovakia, which are both Belt and Road countries. She hoped that the two sides will sign a cooperation memorandum to actively participate in exchange programs and jointly develop excellent art talent.

Haskova spoke highly of the academic achievements and performance level of SHCM students. She was willing to invite SHCM teachers and students to visit the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and take part in the university’s 70th anniversary.

Founded on June 9 in 1949, the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava consists of three faculties: Theatre Faculty, Faculty of Film and Television and Faculty of Music and Dance. The university has 1,050 students at present.
