Shanghai Conservatory of Music Party Secretary and President Lin Zaiyong met with a visiting delegation from Morocco on October 28.
The group of five consisted of officials of Moroccan Ministry of Culture and Communication.
Lin welcomed the guests. He said Morocco is a country with splendid history and culture and its progress towards a modern society is witnessed by all.
SHCM on the other hand, promotes and develops traditional Chinese culture while paying close attention to music culture in other parts of the world and seeking cooperation with local music institutions, he said.
The guests discussed about possible strategic cooperation with SHCM and would like to carry out programs in joint training, musical instruments, folk music and digital media.
The guests were shown a model of SHCM opera house, which in now under construction. They also visited the exhibition of musical instruments from Silk Road countries.
