Deputy Party Secretary Liu Yan of Shanghai Conservatory of Music met Principal Julian Lloyd Webber and teachers from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire on October 19.
Liu welcomed the guests and expressed her appreciation for Professor Webber’s participation in the school’s master class.
After signing a collaboration memo in 2017, the two academies have carried out frequent mutual official visits, teacher and student exchanges and academic cooperation, said Liu.
She also invited Webber to visit again when SHCM launches its opera house and discuss further cooperation on opera and musical.
Webber thanked his host for her hospitality and said he hopes to see the two parties work together in more fields in the future.
