Shanghai Conservatory of Music Professor Yu Danhong was presented the honorable membership of Music Education Association Czech Republic on March 22. The association President Jan Prchal and Vice President Jiri Holubec handed out the certificate at SHCM.
Czech Republic holds an important status in world music history and has many renowned composers. Music education is what they traditionally promote. Each year, events like summer music camp and music Olympics attract a great number of students.
President Prchal gave high comments to SHCM’s students for their fast grip of knowledge and active engagement in class.
“I’m going to show my students the class video at SHCM,” he said.
The two Czech music educators also held a workshop and a lecture for SHCM students during their visit and they looked forward to further communication between SHCM and Czech music education.
