An MOU has been signed to promote cooperation between Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts.
President Lin Zaiyong of Shanghai Conservatory of Music led a delegation to visit Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno (JAMU) on November 1-14, 2017 and signed an MOU on cooperation with Rector Ivo Medek of the academy.
At the meeting, Dr. Medek gave high comments on SHCM’s rapid development over the years, as he had attended several of SHCM’s academic events in the past.
The two parties discussed about holding international musical projects upon the 100th anniversary of Czech Republic, opera performance tour and talent cultivation.
Accompanied by Dr. Medek, Lin visited the four campuses of the academy and the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra’s concert hall.
At Dr. Derek’s invitation, SHCM original opera “Tang Xianzu” will be staged in Brno in January 2018. President Lin also invited JAMU’s teachers and students to perform in Shanghai Spring International Music Festival to be held in April.
