Shanghai Conservatory of Music Deputy Party Secretary Liu Yan received three foreign guests who came to attend the conservatory’s 90th anniversary events on November 26.
The guests were Professor Richard Kurth, director of School of Music of University of British Columbia, Vice President Sabina Dhein of Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg and Deputy Rector Alena Kurakina of Belarusian State Academy of Music.
The guests extended their congratulations for SHCM’s 90th anniversary during the meeting.
Professor Kurth and Vice President Dhein introduced their opera and drama projects respectively. These projects might be tied up with corresponding majors in SHCM for future cooperation.
Liu also introduced SHCM’s summer folk music program to the guests and invited their students and faculties to come and experience traditional Chinese music.
