Professor Ambrose Field, head of the Music Department of the University of York in England, visited the Shanghai Conservatory of Music on March 27, 2017.
Liu Yan, deputy Party secretary of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, briefed him on the school’s development and cooperation with foreign institutions. She said the two sides can strengthen academic exchanges and provide joint degree programs for students.
Field said he agrees with Liu and told her about the University of York, which is a prestigious research institution in the UK.
