Shanghai Conservatory of Music President Lin Zaiyong visited the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Poland and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Hungary from March 19 to 26, 2017.
Lin talked with faculties of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music about launching exchange programs in piano, chamber music, accordion and saxophone and forming a joint orchestra.
He also signed a memorandum of understanding between his school and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music for cooperation in research and promotion of traditional music and academic exchanges in piano, orchestral music and chamber music through visits by their teachers and students.
Lin proposed to establish joint training programs for outstanding students and hold music festivals in each other’s city. He invited his counterparts of the two schools to visit Shanghai Conservatory of Music in May.
