A Shanghai Conservatory of Music delegation led by President Lin Zaiyong visited the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki in Finland and the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Russia from September 7 to 12, 2016.
At the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Lin spoke at a function to celebrate the conservatory’s 150th anniversary and presented the school a Chinese painting and a book written by Chinese composer Zhu Jian’er as gifts.
Zhu, born in 1922, studied at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory from 1955 to 1960. He is a renowned composer in Chinese with many popular works.
Lin also visited the famous Chinese-Russian composer Zuo Zhenguan, who is highly respected in Russia.
