A four-member delegation from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music visited Australia and New Zealand in October 2012 to promote exchanges and cooperation with music schools in the two countries.
The group was led by SHCM Vice President Zhang Xianping and included his assistant Qiao Zhanwen, Professor Tang Litu, and Chen Xiaoyi of the International Exchange Office.
They visited the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the School of Music at the University of Auckland, the New Zealand School of Music, and the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music to learn about their education and course design.
They exchanged views with their hosts on establishing exchange programs for their faculties and students.
